Real Pomodoro Sauce (Italian Style)

28 ounce can whole, peeled tomatoes
5 cloves garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Approx. 1/4 –1/2 cup good quality olive oil
Few basil leaves
Blend
tomatoes so there are no chunks. Place in saucepan with
garlic, sugar, salt & oregano. Bring to a boil. Reduce
heat and pour olive oil in. Stir well. Continue to cook
for about 15 minutes. Remove garlic and discard. Rip up
a few basil leaves and enjoy with tofu patties and pasta.

pound tofu, drained
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat
oven to 375. Oil a baking sheet.
Mash tofu with soy sauce, salt and garlic powder. Mix in
bread crumbs. Form into small patties and place on a greased
baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes on one side, then flip and
bake 15 more minutes. Enjoy with pasta and sauce.
